Great concept, but no support!?

See a list of contacts ordered by most recent interaction, click one to see all the email that’s been exchanged. Magic!

This is the same way Facebook Messenger works and I really like the people-centric approach. Who thought of it first? hmmm, wish I knew, it’s a very natural way to think about correspondence.

The UI is very clean and minimalistic…. a very nice feel on my mac. It was annoying while ascending the learning curve but I’m willing to put in some effort when there is tangible reward.

Unibox is GREAT for cleanup... when I delete the latest advertisement from Banana Republic I choose to delete ALL of them. My inbox is slowly getting cleaned up as I go about handling new email.

Keep it up!

Update: July 2018: app has stopped working with Yahoo and all of their links to “support” now just go to the home page. No support… wow, I feel abandoned.

Too many issues and not good for security

Unibox is something I have used for the past 3 years… I can’t stand the apple mail app, and prefer Unibox, but HERE is why I give it only 2 stars. Unibox was buggy as all getout and I stuck with it. Now, it works and is stable, but the occasional issue comes up and it seems that the developers are always confused as to how their own app works. Finally, I was hacked recently and after hours of working on it, all of my emails and all apps (this is 20-30 accounts) have all been changed except Unibox. The reason is that Unibox claims to use the servers themselves, but this isn’t true because all of the email passwords were updated. 24 hours later it doesn’t work. Delete and reinstall, and it doesn’t work. This is a serious security issue for myself and the people trying to track down the fraud. I have other speculations, but will just suffice to say that even though I like its functionality I don’t think it’s safe to use. Developer: You need to make this app work right. Simple talk from someone who has used your app profusely. The app seems to just lack very common sense solutions to it’s problems.

Best Way To Manage Email For Non-OCD- Only One Issue

Tired of searching through your emails to find threads of a conversation? Other emails you sent the same person earlier? Emails they sent you months ago? This is logical email. All your emails to the same person are presented together. Emails are in order of arrival, but presented by Contact with all that sender's emails. It is so obvious that the only people not using email presented this way are those who haven't experienced it—or those who are so compulsive, they never let email pile up. I can see all email from a single sender—and then delete en masse with just a right click, delete.

Except for one issue. Email is not delivered as quickly when re-opening the app as other apps. I think it doesn't fetch in the background. If you are in a hurry, this might not be for you. I used to use another app for mail when I was in a hurry, now I just try not to hurry if the mail isn't there yet. It'll arrive shortly.
